Alma Road Community Centre was a council initiative to make better use of a community asset, a building that sits beautifully amongst natural park settings adjacent.

The building is also classified under Heritage Victoria and the Planning Scheme so that development had to be sensitive of the elements covered by the classification.

MERAT Pty Ltd Architects' design encompassed a centrally based 'kitchen' as the hub around which were developed meeting spaces ranging in size but able to be interlinked for larger functions.
