The Joint Proteomics Laboratory, a joint initiative of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, continues a focus on analytical biochemistry, technical developments in protein separation and characterisation as well as Proteomics.

Light sensitivity of lasers and the imposed floor loading of the apparatus were key matters to be managed by the design team.

The completed facility is PC2 compliant whilst clean room standards were adopted for the laser component.
