This project required the relocation of the Polymer Laboratory Group to Level 5, East Wing of Building 153 / 154 (Chem-Eng 1) on the Parkville Campus. The Chem-Eng building has undergone extensive infrastructure upgrades over the preceding five years making provision for the fitout of Level 5, in terms of central air conditioning plant, electrical supply and reticulated gases.

Merat Pty Ltd Architects managed the development and relocation of the Polymer Group Laboratories at the University of Melbourne.

The renovation provided a main laboratory, write-up and office spaces, meeting room, instrument room, membrane casting room, tissue engineering laboratory, laboratory storage and a water laboratory.
