QUANTUM COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH LABORATORIES

University of Melbourne

The Centre for Quantum Computer Technology incorporates three University based nodes in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

Merat Pty Ltd Architects managed the development of the Victorian node based at the University of Melbourne.

The key objectives of the C.Q.C.T. program was to develop solid state quantum computer (SSQC) technology, requiring simultaneous advances in semiconductor nano-fabrication and atomic manipulation, single electron quantum electronics, devices modelling and quantum algorithms.

The centre required clean room design to Class 300 incorporating Class 30 laminar flow cabinets.

The pressurised areas are entered via a change room air lock with controlled access.
