As part of the major upgrade of the Microbiology Department, a key initiative was to consolidate common resources for shared access by all research groups.

A much needed consolidation of the stores and waste holding was completed with the construction of a secure suite of rooms housing:

• Liquid nitrogen

• Media stores

• Bottled gases

• Radioactive waste

• Chemical waste

• Biological and general waste
