The Webley Laboratory Group was relocated from Monash University, Clayton to The University of Melbourne, Parkville Building 153 / 154 (Chem-Eng 1) Level 4, East Wing. Due to the highly specialised requirements of the Clean Energy research being conducted, significant upgrades to building infrastructure were needed including the housing and supply of approximately 25 reticulated gases, fume extraction, gas monitoring, electrical supply, air conditioning plant as well as reticulated vacuum & process water.

The renovation provided a Main Laboratory, Instrument Laboratory, Bulk Stores, Gas Storage and Header Platform, Preparation and Process Rooms, Write-up and Meeting Rooms as well as a Postgraduate Research Laboratory.

The renovated 4th floor of the building is approximately 520 sq. metres.
