This facility enabled The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) to meet it’s commitment to the worldwide genotyping programme, which in turn has formed the backbone for the next generation of medical research and discovery.

The Proprietor’s brief required a laboratory flexible in concept to enable response to future changes in research direction and associated equipment advances such as high ‘thru-put’ robotics.

The design response features a robust benching system, modular in concept to facilitate ready special re-configuration.
